Life Groups

God created us for community . . .

God formed us with a God-shaped need for other people. You can be alone in a crowd, but you can find a family in a small group of caring individuals with a common bond in Christ Jesus.

Adults are invited to commit to a Life Group for a season from September through May. Within this close-knit fellowship, they will study the Bible together on Sunday mornings while their children are in Sunday School, enjoy weeknight fellowships in homes, and serve the Lord together. They will encourage and challenge one another's growing relationship with our Lord. They will be there for each other.

We need one another. God made us that way...for life.

The McGown Life Group recently hosted a fund-raising dinner and auction to help provide funds to send this wonderful couple to Kenya for a short-term missions trip. It was a very successful and fun night!

~~~ Some Recent Life Group Happenings ~~~

This year the Life Groups at Reata have been challenged to participate in a Here, There, and Everywhere outreach. We want to show God's love to those in our church, those in our community, and those outside of our community. 

Recently the Family Matters Life Group ministered in the "Here" and painted a church member's wheelchair ramp.

And the Life's Good Life Group took on a another "Here" project and "spiked" out a FULL day of getting the volleyball pit back in top shape for outreach opportunities to our community for the summer! And they had lots of fun "toys" to get the job done!
